January.

Maldives – visit this tropical paradise anytime between January and April for snorkelling, diving and chilling. Humidity is high all year round, but sea breezes temper a sweaty brow. Only 1-3 days of rain throughout the month (likely to be short and sharp) with temperatures ranging from 23-29 degs C.

Thailand, Bangkok– Vibrant, exciting, fascinating, world-class hospitality and loads of fun, Bangkok is best from December to March. One trip will not be enough! Humidity will be high (but it always is) and 31 deg C average temperature.

India, New Delhi– October through to March is recommended for visits to northern, central India. Delhi has places you just have to see, lusciously exotic temples, forts and majestic Taj Mahal, of course. Tiger tours and healing Ayurvedic centres.

February.

Canary Islands – If you want to avoid the cold and snow and head for some winter warmth, the Canaries will give you perfect weather to check-out stunning volcanic landscapes in Mount Teide national park, take a ride to the top of the volcano in a cable car, stroll around old Spanish villages or just laze in the temperate winter climate. Average, 22 degs C, with around 5 days rain over the month.

Cape Town – Summer in Cape Town, 24 degs and 2/3 days of rain throughout the month. A beautiful time to hire a car and see the Western Cape in all its glory. Stunning coastline, fine wines and fab. Cape hospitality. If combining with a tour of the Eastern Cape (which has more rain) leave till March.

Mexico, Baja peninsula – Every year between December and March thousands of grey whales swim into the Sea of Cortez - off the Mexican/Baja coast – along with bottle nose dolphins and sea-lions, a boat-trip is a must to see these magnificent creatures. Some really fab boutique hotels, Los Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos is one, have set new standards for the region. Expect a little rain, and temperatures around 28deg C.

March.

U.A.E., Oman – fast becoming the ‘in’ place in the UAE, attention is turning to Muscat for a less chaotic & development oriented alternative to Dubai. Check it out in March before it gets dangerously hot. 28 deg C on average, medium humidity, rain….not a chance!

Melbourne – A melting pot of culture and a foodie haven, autumn temperatures of around 24 deg C, with only a small chance of rain, will aid your discovery of the capital of the scenically and culturally diverse, state of Victoria. In March, Melbourne hosts the Australian grand prix, an international comedy festival and a food and wine festival.

Morocco – Why not try one of the coastal resorts of Morocco in March. Agadir, Casablanca, Tangier and Rabat will all tick boxes if you are looking for an exotic early spring destination. No humidity at this time of year on the coast and a pleasant 23 deg C.

April .
Eastern South Africa – Southern hemisphere autumn is the time to be adventurous and head for the likes of Kruger national park for a ‘big 5’ safari. Temperatures in the mid – 20’s, should be just right.

Nepal– Avoid June to September, which is the rainy season, try March/April when the temperatures range from the low to high 20’s C. You may catch the odd day of rain with moderate humidity.

Spain, Seville - Spring is a great time to go to Seville. With over 1000 tapas bars, the magnificence and passion that is flamenco, and the totally fabulous Alfonso X111 hotel to stay in, it is a great city. Average temperatures around 24 degs C, if you are unlucky you may catch a shower or two.

May.

Botswana - with low rainfall, Botswana is largely desert and scrubland, it doesn’t seem to suffer from the high temperatures of other African countries. May looks like a good time to go as the average max. temperature is 26 deg C with medium humidity.

Bermuda - Get your shorts out and try Bermuda in May. You'll love afternoon tea overlooking the harbour and cocktails at 'The Reef'. With the Burmuda dollar pegged to the US dollar its also good value at the moment.

France , Cote D'azur - With such touring possibilities - Cannes, Antibes, Marseilles, Nice and St Tropez to name a few - it would be a shame to miss out on Mays temperatures in the early 20's C.  The  Grand Prix in Monte Carlo, always held around the 21/22/23 May, might be a deciding factor for dates in your diary.

 June.

Malta – A perfect time to visit Malta; the old city & Medina are fascinating steps back in time, as are the unspoilt villages. June’s temperatures on average 26 deg C, usually no rain, moderate humidity.

Istanbul– A fab time to take in the sights and sounds of one of the greatest cities in the world. Nice 26 degs C, moderate humidity with an occasional shower. Try it on a two-centre trip with........

Turkey, Izmir – Mid. June sees the start of the Izmir International festival, 4 weeks of world-class music, arts, culture and international sports. May-June temperatures are around 25 deg C with moderate humidity and occasional rain.
